Overview

SUMMARY
Facility Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the assigned facility’s mechanical systems and appearance, assuring a high level of quality and safety.


General Duties
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection.
• Knowledge of all safety standards for working in and around aircraft and facilities.
• Responsible for his/her personal safety as well as the safety and care of all equipment and supplies assigned.
• Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
• Maintain high level of safety and customer service.
• Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Track and coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules, oil changes, tire changes and coordinate washes and detailing, etc.
• Repair and maintain lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, fire protection and alarms.
• Record facility maintenance, coordinate schedule of regular services for example, window washing, carpet cleaning/replacement, painting.
• Act as primary contact for janitorial and landscape vendors.
• Provide basic building maintenance, sheet rock repair, painting, etc.
• Coordinate use of contractors for major facility repairs as needed.
• Inspect outside structures and systems such as lighting fixtures, pavement condition, security dates and fences, signs and utility services. Make repair recommendation to General Manager.
• Responsible for facility’s safety compliance with OSHA, maintain and restock Safety Stations, fire extinguisher checks and eye wash station.
• Responsible for his/her personal safety as well as the safety and care of all equipment and supplies assigned.
• Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations, including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
• Maintain a high level of safety and customer service.
• Maintain and control disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with EPA rules and regulations.
• Perform periodic check of all equipment and facility, document findings and coordinate repair with General Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• A valid state driver’s license and meet the company's insurability requirements
• Satisfactory completion of criminal background check, meeting requirements set forth by the Company as well as TSA
• Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors.
• Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays and be on call.
