Overview

Employees in this job perform manual and clerical duties involved in the operation of warehouse and storage areas at the plant or site.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

 

  • Oversees and maintains inventory in an orderly and organized manner
  • Receives, records, tracks, and reports on materials and ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance with MGS Material Management Process
  • Performs some limited procurement activities
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Performs clerical duties, operate phone, fax, computer
  • Performs material receipt inspection, processes receiving reports, and prepares and processes unsatisfactory/non-conforming receipt reports
  • Coordinates material requests and performs inventory counts
  • Develops a working knowledge of electronic and/or manual inventory management systems
  • Develops an understanding of inventory variance reconciliation methods and processes
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Provides support for assigned commercial applications as a lead or individual contributor.
  • Performs business analysis on and recommends quality complex solutions for business processes.
  • Works on highly complex tasks for the deployment of new solutions and enhancements/fixes to existing solutions. These include, but is not limited to: trouble-shooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, user interaction, training, defining systems scope, gathering requirements, documenting design & functional specifications, research and fact-finding, configuration, testing, reporting, cutover, IS and business user coordination.
  • Demonstrates an ability to rapidly learn new business processes and assess gaps between those processes and business initiatives. Also displays an ability to retain process knowledge and apply towards understanding integration impact with existing and new processes.
  • Develops effective work relationships at various job levels with business users, IS departments and MGS business partners.
  • Assists in the evaluation and selection of the best solution from many possible alternatives, to handle various business needs as they arise.
  • Assists in the coordination of the adoption of new business procedures resulting from system improvements, through the development of documentation, training, and communication plans.
  • Work in a safe manner while supporting the looking out for each mentality
  • Perform in depth research of material requests, material receipt inspection, using the appropriate on-line material management system
  • Work independently in all aspects of warehouse and physical inventory control practices and on-line Inventory Management Systems.
  • Drive to solve problems to the root cause level, and always follow-up with actions that will prevent recurrence
  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience with SAP, Procurement and Inventory Management functions preferred:

  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
  • High School Grad / GED

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position.  Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.  This position requires overtime hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.
